MPIC is Malaysia's interclub pickleball competition — where clubs field a full squad, play a structured round-robin across skill divisions, and settle it with a Dreambreaker decider. Not a ladder. A team contest.
Most pickleball events are open ladders — you show up, you play strangers, you leave. MPIC is different. Clubs put a squad on the line and play as one team, which means the result belongs to the whole community, not one bracket winner.
Each club fields a 24-player squad — 12 in each skill division — across women's, mixed and men's doubles. Every game feeds one team score — so every player matters, not just the top seeds.
Players are split by DUPR into a Charger group (≤3.0) and a Power group (3.0–3.5), so every match stays fair, real and evenly competitive.
If it's close after the round-robin, the tie is broken by a live Dreambreaker — a rotating line-up finale that can swing the whole Cup in one game.
The format is locked and the same for both clubs. It's designed so every member plays, matches stay competitive, and the result is decided on court — not on paper.
Club members only — genuine members of the club community, not professionals brought in just for the win. Every player must be a real part of your club's community, and no player may represent more than two clubs across MPIC — no switching sides just to chase a title.
Each club = 24 players, split into two division teams of 12 (3 women and 9 men each). Women play Women's Doubles (WD) plus Mixed (XD); men play one category. Every team fills 1 WD, 3 XD and 3 MD line-ups.
Within each division, every pairing meets every opposing pairing in a full round-robin. Games are played to 15, sudden death. Two courts run per division, in parallel.
Each category game earns league points — a win is worth more than a loss, but a loss still scores. The champion is the club with the highest total league points, not the biggest point spread.
A final decider played to 40, with the line-up rotating as points accumulate. It's weighted heavily — enough to erase a close category deficit — so the Cup stays alive until the last ball.
The Cup runs as a rolling challenge: about once every two months, any club can challenge the reigning club champion for the trophy. The venue for each challenge is decided by the MPIC organising committee.

Most pickleball events are open brackets — you enter as an individual or a pair. In interclub pickleball, your whole club competes as one team: every game feeds a single team score, so the result belongs to the club community, not one bracket winner.
Two clubs go head-to-head. Each club fields 24 players, split into two groups of 12 by DUPR rating — a Charger group (3.0 and below) and a Power group (3.0–3.5). Each group of 12 (3 women, 9 men) covers 7 categories — 1 women’s doubles, 3 mixed, 3 men’s — in a full round-robin to 15 sudden death, and the club with the most league points takes the Cup.
